1. The Body Shop Super Volume Mascara
This has been my go to mascara all year, I’ve tried a few others from Clinique and IsaDora but I always come back to this. It gives my lashes lots of volume and thickness, it has a good sized brush and it doesn’t dry out.

2. Smashit Hydrating Fluid Foundation in Milk
I don’t wear foundation very often and one of the reasons for that is that I have really hard time to find a color that matches my very pale skin tone. And then I came across this, it is the first foundation I’ve tried that is actually a little to light for me but it stills work both for wearing on it’s own and to mix with my Mary Kay foundation. The only drawback is that it’s a little to shinny at least on my skin but it’s noting a good setting powder wont fix.

3. MAC 263 Brush
I had been looking forever for a thin synthetic angled brush to use on my brows and this is perfect. That it also works great for eyeliner is just a bonus.

4. MAC Paint Pot in Nubile
I have a fondness for cream shadows and been wanting to try Paint Pots for a long time now and this one just seemed to perfect to pass up. It’s from the Posh Paradise Collection so it is unfortunately Limited Edition. It’s perfect for everyday wear and although it works great as a base I’ve mostly been wearing it on it’s own.

5. Elf Eyebrow Kit in Light
This is pretty mush all I use for my brows nowadays. It’s easy and quick to use and last well all day

6. IsaDora Jelly Kiss Lipstick in Merry Berry
I almost never wear anything on my lips, I don’t like the way it feels and it always fades after a few hours anyway. So this one was a pleasant surprise, first of it feels light and moist on my lips, it has a rather strong scent of vanilla but I really like it. And the color is beautiful, I love red lips but it can often feel like too much in casual situations so this is perfect since it can be worn rather sheer or be built up for a more intense red color.

7. Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub
Granted this is a skincare product and not a makeup product but it’s so good it simply had to be on the list. I use it 2-3 times a week and it has dramatically reduced my blackheads, love it!

8. Viva La Diva Eyeliner in Soot
Best black eyeliner I have ever used, it really is inky black and is creamy and easy to apply and best of all it stays really well on my waterline even do it’s not waterproof.

9. IsaDora Inliner Kajal in 56 Blonde
This is another standard in my everyday makeup routine, I wear it on the waterline to brighten the eye but it’s not as harsh as a white eyeliner.

10. MAC Eyeshadow Club
This is my first (and so far only) MAC eyeshadow and I am in love! The color is just so unique and exciting yet surprisingly wearable both for everyday or going out.

11. Wet n’ Wild Cover All Concealer Palette
Awesome product for an awesome price, the concealer is way to dark and orange for me but it gets an extra plus for the highlighter.

Halloween - All Stitched Up

Fall has arrived in full force here in Sweden and winter is approaching faster than ever. I much prefer spring and summer but fall does bring with it two things to look forward to. The first being all the great makeup in beautiful fall colors and the second thing being Halloween. Definitely the most exciting holiday makeup-wise, it’s one day that you can really let your imagination flow and do something creative.

While browsing the internet looking for some inspiration for some Halloween makeup I came across a bunch of MAC Halloween face charts from some years back. So I thought I would do my interpretation of some of my favorites, not sure how many I’ll have time do to but here is the first one, inspires by the MAC chart All Stitched Up.

As most of you probably know YouTube is a haven for any makeup obsessed, there are tons of talented people who share their art and I thought I would start sharing some of my personal favorite videos. First up we have the latest video from pixiwoo, who are in my opinion the best makeup gurus on YouTube.

Colourful Sweetheart

I'm not generally one for bright colors when it comes to makeup, I tend to prefer either neutral or dark looks. But when I saw the Sugarpill eyeshadows I just couldn't resist, they are such vibrant and beautiful colors. Today I'm going to review one of the palettes, Sweetheart.

From top left: Dollipop, Afterparty, Midori, Tako

There are four colors in this palette: Dollipop is a matte hot pink, Afterparty is a blue with a semi-pearl sheen, Midori is a  green with a slight pearl sheen and finally Tako which is a matte white. All of the colors can be bought separately. The colors have really good pigmentation and are easy to apply and blend, although Tako isn't quite as pigmented as the other three colors. To be warned that Dollipop and Afterparty the pink and the blue can stain on the lid if you don't use some sort of base.

All in all I think this is a great palette if you like bright bold colors. I bought this palette from Nelly.com but Sugarpill is soled at numerous places including Sugarpillshop.com

Harry Potter Houses: Ravenclaw

Next up in my HP Houses Series is Ravenclaw, members of this house are characterised by their wit, intelligence, creativity, and wisdom and I'ts house colours are blue and bronze. So for this look I did something a little more creative and dramatic, and I've got to say I really like this colour combination.

Harry Potter Houses: Hufflepuff

If you haven't figured it out already by the name I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, I've read all the books several times and after seeing the last movie I really wanted to do some HP inspired makeup. So I'm going to do a series of looks for the four houses starting with Hufflepuff.

Hufflepuffs colors is yellow and black but I also wanted the makeup to reflect the traits of the houses and Hufflepuffs is described as valuing hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. So I didn't want to do anything to over the top and I ended up doing a black liquid eyeliner with some yellow on the lid.

A Pink Leopard

I did this nail design back in October last year, it's just your basic leopard print in pink and black. I just an old liquid eyeliner brush to do the print.

Purple Lust

Another one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes is the Wet 'n Wild Color Icon Palette in Lust. It has six purple shades (several who is supposed to be good MAC dupes.)

On the plus side all the color have fairly good pigmentation and there are three matte shadows as well as three shimmery and all the colors complement each other very well.

On the negative side the shadows can apply a little patchy if you don't use a base, also the matte shadows tends to not have quite as good pigmentation as the shimmery ones.

All in all I think this is a really good palette especially for the price. So if your on a budget or you just want some more purple eyeshadow I would absolutely recommend this.

Going Gaga

This weeks challenge at the MUG forum was to create something inspired by Lady Gaga. I'm a big fan of Gaga both her music and her many styles so I definitely wanted to contribute. I decided to do a look based of the makeup she wore at the German Glamour Cover.

Finally

Got a package in the mail yesterday containing the famous Naked Palette from Urban Decay. I know that everyone and their mother already have it or at least have heard of it so I won't bother with any details. I'm just so excited!

50 Matte Chocolates

One of my most used eyeshadow palettes is the IsaDora 50 Matte Chocolates. It's great for creating not only everyday looks but also for more dramatic makeup. It has five colors, all matte as you can tell by the name, raging from a light skin tone color to a really dark brown.

On the plus side all the colors have good pigmentation and  are really soft and easy to blend. Like I said it has a good range of neutral colors not to mention it's cheap.

On the negative side the shadows can be a bit flaky so you might need to use a primer or a base underneath and they tend to have a bit of fallout so be careful when applying especially the darker colors. Also the colors aren't very unique so if you already have a lot of neutrals this might not be for you.

All in all I think this is a great product especially for the price and I would definitely buy it again. IsaDora is a Swedish company but it can also be bought from cosmeticmall.com.

Beauty Of Fall

There is really only one thing I like about fall and that is all the beautiful colors, and this stunning visual from Too Faced Fall Collection almost makes it bearable that summer is coming to an end. Almost.

Egyptian Gold

This is my look for the weekly challenge at the Makeupgeek forum which this week was Egyptian inspired. The makeup didn't turn out the way I had planned and unfortunately my camera sort of muted out the colors not to mention it is a pain in the *** to take pictures of yourself, but oh well.
