Halloween - All Stitched Up

Fall has arrived in full force here in Sweden and winter is approaching faster than ever. I much prefer spring and summer but fall does bring with it two things to look forward to. The first being all the great makeup in beautiful fall colors and the second thing being Halloween. Definitely the most exciting holiday makeup-wise, it’s one day that you can really let your imagination flow and do something creative.

While browsing the internet looking for some inspiration for some Halloween makeup I came across a bunch of MAC Halloween face charts from some years back. So I thought I would do my interpretation of some of my favorites, not sure how many I’ll have time do to but here is the first one, inspires by the MAC chart All Stitched Up.

Slytherins are described as ambitious, shrewd, cunning, strong leaders, achievement-oriented and the house has a negative reputation, the house colors are green and silver.

As most of you probably know YouTube is a haven for any makeup obsessed, there are tons of talented people who share their art and I thought I would start sharing some of my personal favorite videos. First up we have the latest video from pixiwoo, who are in my opinion the best makeup gurus on YouTube.

Colourful Sweetheart

I'm not generally one for bright colors when it comes to makeup, I tend to prefer either neutral or dark looks. But when I saw the Sugarpill eyeshadows I just couldn't resist, they are such vibrant and beautiful colors. Today I'm going to review one of the palettes, Sweetheart.

From top left: Dollipop, Afterparty, Midori, Tako

There are four colors in this palette: Dollipop is a matte hot pink, Afterparty is a blue with a semi-pearl sheen, Midori is a  green with a slight pearl sheen and finally Tako which is a matte white. All of the colors can be bought separately. The colors have really good pigmentation and are easy to apply and blend, although Tako isn't quite as pigmented as the other three colors. To be warned that Dollipop and Afterparty the pink and the blue can stain on the lid if you don't use some sort of base.

All in all I think this is a great palette if you like bright bold colors. I bought this palette from Nelly.com but Sugarpill is soled at numerous places including Sugarpillshop.com

Harry Potter Houses: Ravenclaw

Next up in my HP Houses Series is Ravenclaw, members of this house are characterised by their wit, intelligence, creativity, and wisdom and I'ts house colours are blue and bronze. So for this look I did something a little more creative and dramatic, and I've got to say I really like this colour combination.
